Georgia Tech CEISMC K.I.D.S. (Kids Interested in Discovering STEAM) Club is a program designed to enhance and encourage curiosity and enthusiasm for science, mathematics, engineering and technology. Students in grades 2nd through 5th are invited to join our student-centered, hands-on discovery meetings held each season. Students in grades 6th through 8th are invited to come to LEGO Robotics sessions to learn how to use LEGO EV3 robots to solve real-world problems. Parents and students in 6th grade and higher are invited to come to Introduction to App & Game Development to learn how to create a new game or app. All meetings will be on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Once a month from October through March, K.I.D.S. Club meets on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
For students in grades 2nd through 5th, there will be three unique K.I.D.S. Club sessions: a fall session, a winter session, and a spring session. Each session will hold two identical meetings so that more students will be able to experience these activities. Therefore, please choose only one date from each season to attend.
For students in 6th through 8th grade, the LEGO program will have two unique K.I.D.S. Club sessions. The meetings in the fall and winter will be for beginner programmers, and the spring meetings will be for more advanced programmers. Therefore, please choose only one date from the fall and winter sessions and one date from the spring session to attend.
Please note that the Introduction to Mobile App & Game Development program will follow the same format as LEGO.

K.I.D.S. Club meets on Saturday mornings at Georgia Tech's campus in Midtown. See here for directions.
Each K.I.D.S. Club elementary school meeting costs $45 per student.
The LEGO Mindstorms program for students in grades 6th through 8th costs $65 per student.
The Introduction to Mobile App & Game Development, for parents and students in grade 6 and higher, is $65 per student.
Each student/session must be paid for separately.
REGISTRATION WILL OPEN FOR 2017-2018 IN MID SEPTEMBER 2017.
Payment for the K.I.D.S. Club meetings are due when you register. A spot will not be reserved for your student without payment. Please note that registration is not complete until you've made an account, created a student profile for each student, and finally selected and paid for each meeting you wish to attend.
Registration is not complete until you have paid for the participant. Therefore, a space will not be held for the participant unless the registration is complete and the fee is paid.
Since program space is limited, CEISMC creates a wait list for those participants who are initially unable to attend their desired program. If the program you are interested in is not available, there is an option to join the wait-list for that specific program. No payment is required after joining a wait-list. If an opening for the program becomes available, the first participant on the wait-list will be contacted via email and given 48 hours to pay the deposit and secure the spot before the next participant on the wait-list is contacted.
While unlikely, CEISMC reserves the right to cancel a program at any time for any reason. If this should happen, a full refund would be issued. CEISMC also reserves the right to remove students during the program for a number of reasons we will disclose in your acceptance email.
Refunds or transfer requests will be granted if the cancellation or transfer is submitted via email no less than two weeks before the K.I.D.S. Club meeting takes place. To ask for a refund, please email us at email@example.com.
Each student will be provided with everything they need to complete K.I.D.S. Club activities. They will also be provided with granola bars and fruit snacks while they are here. If a participant has any dietary restrictions we need to know about, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students are grouped by age, 2nd/3rd and 4th/5th for the elementary school program.
Participants in both the LEGO Mindstorms and the Introduction to App & Game Development programs will not be separated into groups, but students in the LEGO Mindstorms program will work in groups of 2 to 3.
Programs are taught by a mixture of Georgia Tech faculty, Tech students, and area science and math teachers.
