What is the KIDS Club?
Georgia Tech’s K.I.D.S. Club is a program designed to enhance and encourage curiosity and enthusiasm for science, mathematics, engineering and technology. Students in grades 2-5 are invited to join our student-centered, hands-on discovery sessions on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. During each meeting, students will rotate and experience three different hour long activities.
When does KIDS Club meet?
On Saturday mornings from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. There will be three unique KIDS Club meetings: a fall meeting, a winter meeting, and a spring meeting. The activities at the two seasonal meetings are identical, they are repeated so that more students will be able to experience these activities. Therefore, choose only one date from each season to attend. Please note that the App Development and LEGO programs will be identical across all meetings.
How much does it cost to attend?
Each K.I.D.S. Club session costs $45 per student--except for the "Introduction to iPhone Games and Application Development", which is $65. Each student/session must be paid for separately. Parents and students grades 6-12 are invited to attend the iPhone Application and Game Development session. Each participant must register and pay the $65 fee.
When is payment due?
Payment for the KIDS Club meetings are due when you register. A spot will not be reserved for your student without payment. Please note that registration is not complete until you've made an account, created a student profile for each student, and finally selected and paid for each session you wish to attend.
What if my registration packet is incomplete?
Registration is not completed until you have paid for your student. Unfortunately, if your registration packet is not sent until payment is made, a space cannot be held for your student.
What is the wait list?
If all of the KIDS Club meetings are completely full, we will begin placing students’ names on a wait list on a first come first serve basis as they are emailed to us. If a space becomes available, we will contact you directly.
Could a KIDS Club meeting be canceled?
While unlikely, CEISMC reserves the right to cancel a program at any time for any reason. If this should happen, a full refund would be issued. CEISMC also reserves the right to remove students during the program for a number of reasons we will disclose in your acceptance email.
