CEISMC Expanded Learning Programs hiring group leaders for 2026 Summer PEAKS.Expanded Learning Programs in the Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing in Georgia Tech's College of Lifetime Learning is gearing up for its Summer PEAKS activities for rising second through twelfth graders.

Each week, participants come to the Atlanta campus eager to learn, and group leaders play an important role in keeping them engaged, excited, and ready to explore new STEAM concepts. To support this work, Expanded Learning Programs staff are currently recruiting group leaders who must be high school graduates and have at least one year of college.

“Summer PEAKS works best when our scholars feel seen and supported, and our group leaders make that possible,” said Program Director Eric Koonce. “They build trust quickly, and that connection helps our scholars have a positive experience from start to finish.”

Group leaders create a welcoming, steady presence throughout each week of Summer PEAKS, offering encouragement as participants try new activities and settle into the rhythm of the program.

Group leaders must be available from May 25 through July 31, 2026, and are required to attend orientation, including CPR training, prior to the start of the program.
