Students participate in science activity during STEAM workshop at CEISMC.With the arrival of fall comes the return of Saturday programming at the Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) at Georgia Tech. Students from elementary through high school engage in hands-on learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).

For the 2025-2026 academic year, CEISMC’s Expanded Learning Programs teams in Atlanta and Savannah are bringing these opportunities to students across Georgia. In Atlanta, KIDS Club (grades 2-5) and STEAM Workshops (grades 6-12) are available, while in Savannah, STEAMlabs (grades 1-8) are offered.

Through KIDS Club and STEAM Workshops, we’re providing out-of-school learning experiences to help students create identity and efficacy in STEAM,” said Program Director Eric Koonce. “These programs encourage curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, helping students build skills for lifetime learning, problem-solving, and success in the current and increasingly complex world.”

“This fall, our STEAMlabs are bursting with creativity and exploration,” said Tim Cone, Director for CEISMC Savannah. “Students are building robots, painting with code, designing stained glass circuits, and even inventing ways to talk to animals. It’s all about helping them discover how STEAM can be a tool for expression, innovation, and fun.”
