Dyanne Baptiste Porter will be presenting her research as part of the fall research colloquium series sponsored by the Edmund W. Gordon Institute for Urban and Minority Education (IUME) at Teachers College, Columbia University. This IUME research series is a platform that brings together scholars and researchers to share their work in various phases of development—from grant proposal to almost completion—to receive engaging formative feedback, have meaningful discussions, and to learn from each other. In this webinar, Dyanne will present an overview of her dissertation, share some key findings, and present illustrative examples of instructors’ mathematics and STEAM pedagogy toward understanding. She is excited to partner with CEISMC since much of this work aligns with the center's mission.
