Katherine (Katie) Boice is a Research Associate II with the Educational Research and Evaluation team. She graduated summa cum laude from Emory University in 2016 with B.A.s in Psychology and Music. She completed an M.Ed. in Child Studies at Vanderbilt University. Her studies focused on using evidence-based practices to promote positive development across the lifespan. Prior to joining the CEISMC family, she assisted on research and evaluation projects related to the impact of gender stereotype threat on spatial and math performance in young girls, the development of socioemotional skills in early childhood, and patterning interventions to promote early math learning. At CEISMC she contributes her knowledge of child developmental and research methodologies to various projects, including Summer P.E.A.K.S., CAPACiTY, and GoSTEAM.
